No work in the entire history of music transmits the urge to sing more than Handel’s Messiah. The Hallelujah chorus is such a beloved part of the musical repertoire. The special glow of the Christmas season comes alive the instant we hear its stirring theme. Handel’s matchless sense of timing, the visionary path from darkness to light, the ongoing flow of beautiful arias, ensembles and magnificent choruses guarantees a memorable and spiritual experience.
As part of the Power Smart Holiday Express Tour, conductor Yuri Klaz, will lead the WSO and choristers from the South Central region to perform this masterpiece.
The featured soloists include: Sarah Halmarson (soprano), Rosemarie Vanderhooft (mezzo-soprano) Christopher Mayell (tenor) and Mel Braun (baritone). This concert promises to be a special holiday experience for everyone!
