Janelle Nadeau - with youth and charm, Janelle Nadeau engages audiences with her distinctive approach to contemporary harp music. A graduate of the Harp Performance Program at U.B.C. and a member of the acclaimed group, WinterHarp, she is a master of many genres including classical, Celtic, folk and world music as well as being a composer and vocallist. She has toured Canada, been heard on CBC Radio, been featured on TV and has been invited to perform at the World Harp Congress. Her performances enchant audiences by weaving music and storytelling
Pembina Hills Senior String Ensemble - Now in its sixth year, the Pembina Hills Senior String Ensemble is open to advanced youth and adult players from South Central Manitoba. They perform a variety of works by Bach, Hayden, Joplin, the Beatles and other composers. Recent collaborations have included concerts with the Brandon University Orchestra and the Southern Manitoba Community Band. The ensemble is conducted by Wes Hamm.
Southern Manitoba Community Band - was formed in 2010 and is conducted by Paul Moen. The group includes woodwind, brass and percussion players who are post-high school students, musicians that play regularly and others that have not played for some time. The band hopes to inspire quality and encourage music and performing as a life-long opportunity. Both the string ensemble and community band are programs of the Pembina Hills Arts Council with funding from the Kuhl Foundation.
